Changing Your Perspective to Manifest Your Desires
The law of attraction teaches us that everything has been drawn to us based on our energetic vibration. What does not align with our frequency does not exist in our reality. But the real question is: how do we align ourselves with the vibration of what we truly desire?
One of my favorite books on this topic is Ask and It Is Given by Esther Hicks—I can’t recommend it enough!
How Do You Do It?
"How?!" is one of the most common questions I get from my clients. "I understand the concept, but how do I actually apply it?"
Often, it’s difficult to shift away from our current reality because it is all we know. This is why generational cycles—poverty, abuse, addiction—persist. Even when we consciously try to break free, the familiar patterns pull us back in.
The key to transformation isn’t forcing yourself into a new vibration but shifting your perspective on where you are now. Instead of seeing your situation as a trap, view it as a lesson, a gift of clarity. Work from where you are. Acknowledge your current reality, identify what’s blocking you, and recognize that even your limiting beliefs serve a purpose.
Be Honest with Yourself
A crucial step in shifting your perspective is recognizing your belief system. I once had a friend say, "I don’t have cancer—yet." EEK! That statement revealed a deep-seated belief that she was susceptible to cancer, which could attract it into her reality.
So how does she change that belief when it feels so real to her? She could try denying it, but deep down, she still believes it. Instead, she can examine how this belief is serving her. Does it give her a sense of control over her fears? Does it make her more mindful of her health? If she can find a healthier way to meet these needs, she can begin to release the belief naturally.
Assess Where You Are Now
Our beliefs are heavily influenced by our environment—our job, relationships, and daily routines. This is why people often feel the need to "get away from it all" to gain a fresh perspective.
You don’t have to move across the world to gain new insight. Even small shifts, like taking a different route to work, can shake up your routine and allow new vibrations to enter your life. Breaking habitual patterns creates space for transformation.
Put It into Action
This week, challenge yourself to gain a new perspective on something that no longer serves you. Choose a belief or pattern you struggle to let go of and simply observe it rather than trying to force a change.
Ask yourself:
What need is being fulfilled by holding onto this belief? (There is one, or you wouldn’t cling to it.)
How could I fulfill that need in a different way?
What would my life have been like if I had never held this belief?
What would my life be like if I released it?
Create space for a new reality by stepping back from the belief in any way you can—spending less time with people who reinforce it, avoiding situations that trigger it, or even mentally "taking a vacation" from it for an hour.
Then, share your experience! Did your perspective shift? Did you gain clarity? Whether you choose to keep the belief or let it evolve, simply observing it changes your relationship with it and empowers you to manifest what you truly want.
