Some people have presence; some people don’t. Think of a person walking into a room, and all eyes are on them. Think of another person walking into a room, and no one notices them.
The difference between these two people?
It’s not what they are wearing, whether one has makeup on, or anything to do with what they look like. The difference is one has presence; they are owning their space by inhabiting their body. The other one does not; they are popped out of their body, lost in thought.
Your physical presence is the number one thing that attracts people to you and makes them listen to you. Being in your own presence will support you in feeling more confident, clear, and connected.
We all get in our heads from time to time, particularly in situations where we feel nervous or inadequate.
Because of this, we project out into the world a persona or emotional state that is not aligned with our current state of being. We feign that we “have it all together” or are “perfect,” or we go to the opposite spectrum of feeling invisible, stuck in our heads and out of our body, convinced we are not good enough.
When we perform or dissociate out of comparison or insecurity, we end up feeling exhausted by the end of the day. We become less visible and less magnetic. We lose our potency and power. But, when we can anchor into our body and not get lost in anxious thought loops, we feel calm, grounded, steady, and enough.
